My love of health and fitness came naturally as I grew up playing football, running track, and other sports throughout my childhood. So during college, choosing a degree in exercise science was an easy choice.
I graduated with a degree in Exercise Science with a Specialization in Clinical Physiology. I took all the main exercise science courses and added an extra focus on the sciences, like biology, nutrition, chemistry, and physiology—which leads to more of a “clinical” setting. The long term goal was to become a physical therapist, chiropractor, or even a nutritionist.
But as I was finishing up my final quarter of school in 2012, I realized the clinical setting wasn’t for me. My true passion was in exercise and helping others achieve their health and fitness goals. And this is where I began my career as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor, also helping clients with nutrition.
By no means would I say I’m an expert exercise scientist... sitting in a lab studying you while you exercise. Nor am I a registered dietician counting every single one of your calories and macronutrients . But I will say I’m an expert at getting my client's results by suggesting the right type of workout program and the right diet plan for their goals.
I take a “no B.S.” approach when it comes to prescribing workouts and diet plans. Meaning, if you’re not willing to jump all-in and struggle to achieve your goals, then I’m not the guy for you. Because I’ve trained, instructed, and have consulted with over 150 people and can tell you right now: those with the willingness and the “do or die” attitude, are the ones who get the type of results most only dream about.
Now, that may not be you… yet. But I want you to know, the results you desire isn’t as simple as a diet and workout program, they begin with your mindset. And if you choose to do personal training or 1-on-1 consultations with me, I’ll show you how to develop that mindset and get you on the right fitness regimen to get you to your goals.
